Fall Semester: $210
Spring Semester: $210
Registration will be split into two semesters. We highly recommend planning to commit to the full year of classes.
We will be collaborating with Acting for Young People (AFYP) to collect registration information and tuition payment for this season. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Refund Policy
Tuition is due at the time of registration. There will be a $25 nonrefundable fee for each registration.
After the second rehearsal of each semester, no refunds will be given except in the case of medical emergency or military orders. Documentation may be requested in these cases.

Ensemble Information
Beginning Band
No prior musical experience necessary. This ensemble is for students who are brand new to playing their instrument or would like to review basic playing fundamentals and technique.
Beginning Band Students will focus on developing the following skills:

Learn basic technique and fundamentals of their instrument.

Learn to read music and be able to perform basic rhythms.

Develop and strengthen ensemble playing and teamwork skills.
Note for Prospective Percussion Students
If you are interested in playing percussion in the Beginning Band this year, please note that we will only be accepting a maximum of FOUR percussion students. Registration for percussion will be first-come, first-serve. We recommend registering early to guarantee your spot!
Concert Band
The Concert Band is for students who have some previous experience on their instrument and are looking to strengthen their technical, expressive, and ensemble playing skills.
Participation in the Concert Band has the following recommended prerequisites:

Recommended at least 1 year of experience on your instrument.

Ability to read and play notes and basic rhythms at an intermediate level.
Student & Parent Interest Session
September 8th
Still have questions about the band? Join us for our Student & Parent Interest Session on September 8, 2026. We will discuss the upcoming season and answer questions about the band. It's also a great time to meet other Homeschool Band families and get excited about the new year! No instruments will be needed for this introductory meeting.
Attendance is strongly recommended for new students and students joining the Beginning Band.

Who is eligible to join?
Any currently homeschool student between the ages of 10 - 18 in the Northern Virginia or DMV metropolitan area.
Is any prior experience necessary?
No, we welcome students of all experience levels. No prior musical experience is necessary to register for Beginning Band. For the Concert Band, we recommend that students have 1+ years of experience on their instrument.
Do I need to provide my own instrument?
Yes, all students will be required to provide their own instrument. All instruments should be in good repair.
Information about instrument rentals will be provided prior to the first rehearsal and after registration. We will assist you with selecting and renting/buying an instrument.
